WSA students come in as many different styles as Chardonnay. Some are in the industry, some not. Some have loved wine and spirits for decades, some don't know their Chablis from their Shiraz.
Sometimes the best reason to take a Wine & Spirit Archive class is no reason in particular.
One of our students came in just to make his wife happy. He didn't have the slightest interest in wine or spirits. That didn't last long. Once he knew what to look for, he understood why some of us make it our life's work. Now we count him squarely in the Enthusiast camp.
Some want to be better hosts, picking up the wine savvy and mixological chops to become master entertainers. Others study to build their networking skills, developing the confidence to entertain clients in high style.
