ONLINE WSET - Level 2 in Sake Course
This intermediate level online sake course offers an in-depth investigation of sake production, styles, and service for sake professionals and serious sake enthusiasts. Over 5 weeks students will learn to:
Understand the key sake production processes and how they affect sake style
Understand the categories, grades, and specialty styles of sake and the key production choices required to make them
Understand how to store and serve sake, and the key considerations when pairing sake and food
Learning is organized into the following 6 modules:
Module 1: Introducing Sake
Module 2: How is Sake Made?
Module 3: After Alcoholic Fermentation
Module 4: Sake Labels and Style
Module 5: Serving, Storing, and Pairing Sake
Module 6: Revision
Who: This course is ideal for students who have completed the WSET Level 1 in Sake Course as well as sake professionals and sake enthusiasts who already have a foundation of sake knowledge.
Course format: The WSET Level 2 in Sake Online Course is offered over 5 weeks and in 6 modules. Students work through the interactive, self-directed course on their own schedule and with the support and guidance of their online tutor. Learning should be supplemented with tasting across multiple styles of sake for the best learning experience.
Exam: The one-hour, 50-multiple choice question certification exam is offered after the completion on a specified exam date. After successfully passing this exam, students receive WSET certificate, lapel pin, and are WSET Level 2 Certified in Sake.
