Greece is a country with an ancient winemaking history quite distinct from the rest of Western Europe. The country’s collection of indigenous grapes, longstanding wine traditions coupled with recent modernizations makes it one of the world’s most dynamic wine producing countries.

In this class, we’ll explore the country’s traditional wine styles, distinctive grape varieties, defining climate and topography . . . and probably spend a little time wishing we were touring Greece’s vineyards on foot . . .

How this works: A Zoom link to our Online Classroom will be sent the day before class. Students can register with or without wines. Wines will be available for outdoor, contact-free pick up at The Wine & Spirit Archive, 3319 SE 50th Ave on Wednesday, February 17 or Friday, February 19, from 5pm to 6pm (or by appointment).

About the instructor: Mimi Martin is director of The Wine & Spirit Archive and holds the WSET Diploma in Wine & Spirits.
