ONLINE WSET – Level 1 Wine Award in Wine
Proficiency in both the art and science of wine must start with the core tenets. The basics presented in this course – major styles, practices for proper storage, fundamentals of pairing with food, and service presentation – are necessary stepping stones on the way to greater knowledge.
This certification course will create a deeper appreciation for the wine buff or arm the aspiring professional with product & service knowledge enabling them to excel in wine-related positions across the industry.
This online format offers the opportunity to learn on your own schedule over a 4-week timeline. Guided by an online tutor, it’s broken into five learning modules with interactive exercises to help refine study and exam preparation.

Module 2: Wine types and styles.
Module 3: Grape varieties and wines.
Module 4: Storage and proper service.
Module 5: Revision.

***The 45-minute, 30-multiple choice certification exam can be taken online or in-person at any scheduled exam time. Once successfully completed, students receive the WSET Level 1 Award in Wine.
