Wine from Extremes: Heroic Viticulture on the Edge of the World - [February 6]

$92.00

What is the coldest, highest, windiest, wettest, most extreme place to make wine? We’ll explore it all in the class, leading students through the vineyards and stories of the world’s most heroic viticultural sites. The effort wouldn’t be worth it, if the wines weren’t so phenomenal and in this class, we’ll taste through some amazing examples!

Who should attend: This course is ideal for students inspired by delicious wines and stories of heroic viticulture.

About the instructor: Jeff D. Peterson, PhD, is a former sociology and wine studies professor at Linfield University where he was instrumental in establishing the wine studies undergraduate program. Although Jeff loves to bring his professor background to his classes, today he finds even greater joy sharing wine, stories, and learning with visitors to the Willamette Valley in his role at Soter Vineyards. In his spare time, you can find Jeff hiking the vineyards of Italy and Spain.

Sessions

Thursday, February 6, 2025; 6:30pm to 8:00pm
