The most exciting part of tasting wine can also be the most confounding. In this class, students are guided through a flight of 6 wines as they learn to define and understand classic wine aromas/flavors, where they come from, and how to identify them. Build your wine description vocabulary as you taste around the aroma wheel and get confortable with descriptions such as flint, lychee, honeysuckle, leather, petrol, lime zest, jalapeño, bramble, honeycomb, and more!

Who should attend: This course is ideal for students who want to improve their ability to describe wines, whether you have a couple of wine classes under your belt or you’re just getting started.

About the instructor: Diana Schultz has worked in nearly every aspect of the wine business – including the founding of Augustina Cellars, where she is head winemaker. Diana brings to her students a deep and real life understanding of winemaking, wine styles, and service and loves exploring the intricacies of wine aromas!
